  About Titanium

Titanium has the symbol Ti in the periodic table and atomic number 22.
It is a light, yet extremely strong metal with a silvery metallic color.

Titanium is known for an extremely high strength to weight ratio. In fact, titanium is just as strong as steel, but it is also an incredible 45% lighter!  Titanium is also known to have extraordinary corrosion resistance and can withstand extremely high or low temperatures.  Interestingly, titanium has been found in meteorites, in the sun, and even in moon rocks.

Because of this high tensile strength and resistance to damage, titanium is commonly used in government aircrafts and ships, including spacecrafts and missiles.  Other uses include medical equipment and implants for joint replacement.  So, when titanium is used to craft a ring, you can be assured that it is hypo-allergenic and will not tarnish.

Above all, titanium is unique and beautiful and stylish in appearance.
You'll even forget you're wearing your titanium ring because it is so light-weight and comfortable.

6-4 Titanium Alloy vs. CP Grade Titanium

Titanium can be found in many forms, and in combination with other metals.

Each ring made at Custom Ring Designs is crafted from 6-4 Titanium alloy.

6-4 Titanium Alloy is stronger than regular CP grade titanium, allowing us to keep the wall thickness of our ring bands at only 1 millimeter, giving our rings a comfortable, super light weight feel - which is a fantastic compliment to the superior strength of titanium.

  Our Titanium Rings

Each titanium ring crafted at Custom Ring Designs is machined by hand with care and pride by a master machinist who has been making and designing rings for over 20 years.

Our rings are proudly made in the USA!

We offer solid titanium bands, as well as titanium rings with 14k gold, fine silver, and rainbow finish inlays which are specially heat-treated to bring out the natural colors of titanium in the form of gentle rainbow hues.  We also offer titanium rings that are specially treated in a unique black diamond coating.

We pride ourselves in the ability to provide special options and custom orders.  We are a full service in-house shop.

  Our Gold & Silver Inlays

We use only the finest materials of all our custom inlays.

We purchase our gold from the largest supplier in the world, and our inlays are guaranteed to be pulled from SOLID wire, not puffed or hollow gold like other ring makers are using.  All of our gold inlays are filled completely and guaranteed to be flush and flawless within the titanium.

At Custom Ring Designs, we also offer 5 different types of 14k gold: 14k yellow, 14k rose, 14k green, 14k white, or 14k ultra white palladium gold.  On most rings, you choose what color gold you would like for your inlays.  This added option continues to keep our customer as close as possible to the creation process.

Of course, we also offer the finest pure silver on the market, again using only solid wire.
We offer two types of silver: .999 fine silver and Argentium Sterling Silver - a new silver that WILL NOT TARNISH, ever!  It's a perfect addition to the Custom Ring Design family.

  Rainbow Inlays

Custom Ring Designs also offers a unique, specially heat-treated inlay that produces a spectacular rainbow finish.  And, after years of crafting titanium through the heat-treating process, we are now able to offer two distinct variations of the rainbow finish inlay:  the "Full Spectrum Rainbow Inlay" and the "Blue Spectrum Inlay."

The "Full Spectrum Inlay" occurs when we let the heat coax out every subtle color of the rainbow (reds, yellows, greens, blues, purples, and pinks) leaving them dancing upon their titanium pallet.

The "Blue Spectrum Inlay" happens when the heat forces blue upon blue, until the finished product becomes its own unique rainbow with shades of blue intertwined within each other.
